I'm Matías Boettner, an Argentine-Austrian film director, editor and animator based in Berlin.
A graduate of Image and Sound Design at the University of Buenos Aires, with a Master's degree in Film Directing from Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf.

For me, editing begins at the conception of a film. It is the language of cinema with which the what and how are shaped into a film.

My directing work spans fiction films, documentaries, commercials, and music videos. Currently developing ‘SOFT FOCUS’ feature film. Painting, comics and illustration also play an important role in my creative practice, serving as forms of expression that I continuously connect with filmmaking and storytelling.
